If you have been looking for a quick and easy way to get the most out of your iPad, this review and guide will showcase the free and paid ways that you can utilize it as a second monitor with your PC. The video covers the use with the 2021 Asus Zephyrus G15 with an older model iPad Pro – though any model will work
iPad as a Second Monitor – The Free Option – SpaceDesk
The free way to do this is to download SpaceDesk for your Desktop on Windows and for your iPad. For Windows you will have to install the Driver version, while on the iPad you will have to download the app.
Once you have everything installed – you can connect to the same WIFI and select the server on your iPad.
It is important to note that this version has some delay, so you will have to adjust the settings on the iPad to get a quality and resolution that is comfortable for you
iPad as a Second Monitor – The Paid and BEST Option – Duet
As of 2022, Duet Display is now the BEST option for using your iPad as a second monitor. Before 2022, it had SEVERE lag, but they recently published an update that makes this chief *chefs kiss* awesomely fast.
Duet Display runs at $15.99 as of this writing – but the one time payment gets you WIRED connection and virtually lag free experience.
Its as simple as downloading the Windows Drivers, installing the app on the iPad, and connecting your iPad to your Laptop with the app open and watching it pair up.
